Orlando, Fl. May 17, 2005 – Coalescent Technologies Corporation announced today that it has been awarded a $36,694,596.00 Task Order contract as part of the Navy’s nation-wide Seaport-Enhanced contract. The training systems work scheduled for the next three years will be for “The Development and Support Services for Virtual Training Systems.” The contract will support new and on-going developmental work with virtual training systems, distance learning, and game-based synthetic training for the Army National Guard, the US Marine Corps, the US Navy, Federal Agencies, and the Department of Homeland Defense.

This individual Task Order is part of the “massive” Navy Seaport -e contract, which has an initial period of five (5) years with two (2) additional five-year options, potentially taking it through the year of 2018. Coalescent has been awarded a nation-wide ceiling of $ 7.9 billion dollars total (potential) revenue in the first five-year period, and a total evaluated maximum contract value of slightly over $ 27 billion dollars if the government exercises all contract option periods.

The contract will be used by the Department of Defense (DoD) and Federal agencies to provide: Visual Database Standardization Support; Systems Engineering Support for Synthetic Simulation Environments; the Development of “Add-On Packs” for Virtual Training Systems; the Development of New 3-Dimentional Virtual Terrains, Maps and Models; Engineering Support to Simulation Labs and Schools; and Distance Learning Planning, Development and Support Services.

Ken Whitmore, President and CEO of Coalescent commented,” We are extremely pleased to be recognized as a leader in the defense industry for leading-edge open source and commercial game-based technologies in the rapidly advancing virtual simulation marketplace. This contract provides our current technologies further access to a wider variety of military and Federal agencies.”
